One of my favorite parts of adoption – is seeing that forever families continue to form through international adoption. Below is a journey of a family who had hoped to adopt two children during their first adoption journey, only to learn that the rules had tighten and were unable to do so. They had their hearts stolen by a little girl while there and returned to Kazakhstan to add her to their family - below is a link to their Faith, Love and Hope blog: http://mcgillsinkazpart2.blogspot.com/
Many of call adoption the roller coaster ride – the highs and the lows and the sometimes sheer plummet to what feels like the center of the earth – below is a blog from a family who experienced the loss of a referral and then the hopes with the new expectations to “shelter” their hearts a bit as they journey on to adopt their son: http://rr2kaz.blogspot.com/

Below is the blog of a family built through two families joining together and the hopes to add a sibling to the bunch! They also learned early in the process of the loss of choice to have a referral. It does always surprise me when the agencies tell them this is “new” when we knew of it after Max’s adoption in April of 2001.

One thing we are very guilty off – letting our web site “go” after coming home – we just are consumed with the day to day care of our children and really haven’t touched or updated our site in any way! But it also offers a good source for families to log on and read the day to day happenings during a Kazakhstan adoption.
Anyway – I thought I’d share a few sites that do keep updating their sites since being home:
Rob and Jen adopted Andrew in May of 2006 and have some up to date info on their family and son here:

This family has been blogging and keeping it current for years! Chris and Michelle do a wonderful blog at:

This young couple had heartbreak with the loss of their sibling group – I encourage you to read their September 2005 blog/post – they have a beautiful tree planted in memory of the children they held in their hearts for so long – but weren’t able to adopt.
I had blogged about this family before – one of Logan’s fellow Taraz parents who added a sibling to their family – Laura does a beautiful job keeping things current on her site and is a single adoptive mom – so if anyone is single and considering adopting two – you probably want to check out their site at:
